I attended the extraordinary board meeting held by the Board of Conservators of Ashdown Forest Monday 31st Jan. It was held to vote on the proposal to introduce parking charges on the forest. Also to set the rates for the parking. Both votes were carried unanimously for both the charging and the Medium tariff rate.
I submitted a question prior to the meeting asking if there would be concessions for those who currently pay a licence fee.
The whole question on concessions is yet to be sorted out and the BMFA will be involved and kept up-to-date as to what is and will happen.
Which I will pass on as and when I have any information. The conservators now have a lot of work to implement this.
