Invicta Club F5J Event

Invicta club at Sutton Valence would like to invite you to Kent Interclub Electric 2 F5J competition to be held on Saturday 25 or Sunday 26 July 2026.
The primary day will be the Sunday, but a final decision will be made nearer the day depending on the weather forecast.

Summary:   

• CD on the day is Richard Harris.
• This is an open competition and non-Kent Interclub club members are very welcome (entry fee £5).
• The event will be run to F5J rules with UK variations. Results will count for the BMFA F5J League.
• Gliderscore eScoring will be used – scores submitted via smart phones. No problem if you are not familiar with the system or don’t have a smartphone – help readily available on the field.
• We want to have a full day’s flying so please check in 09:30 latest and be ready for Pilots Briefing at 09:45 with the competition starting at 10:00 sharp.
• To enter, please contact Derek Potter as above no later than 6pm Thursday 23rd July to enable a matrix to be set up.
• A final decision to confirm or cancel depending on the weather will be posted on the BARCS website (as above) by 6pm Friday June 24th. (Please note that entrants need to check here and will not be emailed about cancellation.)
• When entering – please can you state if you are available for either/both Saturday and Sunday.

• Invicta’s club field is at Sutton Valence, Maidstone, Kent.  Please follow attached detailed directions below to find the field:
• From Sutton Valence take the A274 heading south
• As you approach the bottom of the hill go past Forsham lane on the RHS until you see the bus stop also on the RHS
• Immediately past the bus stop is the farm gate with a lane.  Please close the gate afterwards
• The field we will be using will be signposted from the lane.
